E-literacy in Kura Kaupapa maori

Just a quick explanation, Im really interested in how we could develop e-literacy skills in bilingual education. By that Im refering specifically to schools that operate a total immersion or heritage language programme. There are several criteria for developing additive bilingual students and total immersion in the target language for at least 6 years is one. So do we wait until students transition back to English or mainstream (which could be as early as yr5 or as late as yr8) or is there another alternative. As a teacher in Kura Kaupapa Maori in my experience either one of two things happen. Either our students dont have access to e-learning, or a compromise is made and they are given resources in English to use, neither scenario is ideal. I feel that we need to intorduce e-literacy early but we need to find a way, claim a space if you like to use the technology to enhance Maori immersion education.
